Hi, I'm Hannah, an environmentally-focused web designer, content manager and artist based in the Canadian Rockies. Passionate about climate communication and environmental advocacy, I believe the web is an effective tool for reaching large audiences to shift perspectives, support change and inspire action.
After receiving a bachelor of Graphic Design I moved from Australia to Canada.
For six years I managed the web assets for Pursuit, an international travel company. Pursuit was rapidly expanding, and by my departure the web assets included 8 domains, 1000s of webpages, 47 brand sites, and two bilingual sites.
My work at Pursuit was fast-paced and diverse. Highlights of the role for me included project managing the design, development and content creation of new websites on tight deadlines. Innovative UX design integrating reservation systems into the front-end website. Working with a large, highly talented team, and cultivating new talent in my own team.
In 2017, I created '52 Weeks for Earth', a year-long environmental lifestyle challenge, in the hope that it would inspire others and contribute to the movement of positive change. This self-inspired undertaking utilised my diverse skillset, as I developed the concept, researched and wrote 20 content pieces, ran the social media account, photographed the images, and designed and built the website.
In 2021 I joined Parks Canada, fulfilling my desire to use my passion and skills at a not-for-profit organization whose values and objectives align with my own.
Outside of work I am infatuated with art making, and am currently exploring textile arts. I am also passionate about building community, and run a monthly art club in Canmore, among other volunteer roles in my community.
